Mud Bugs

Every year the town we live in has a huge Crawfish event. (A friend of mine recently called them "mud bugs" to me...gross, but I guess it's true!) It's really fun, there's a live band, yummy food, and the streets are closed so the kids can run wild. This year was no different.

The best thing about this year was that the crawdaddies were nice and big! The bad parts were 1)they raised the price and 2)only 1 potato and 1 corn! What a rip. The past few years the kids didn't really care about eating them. They'd try 1 or 2, but could take or leave them. This year, they LOVED them. I guess we'll need 2 trays next year!

Do y'all suck the heads? That is where the good stuff is.
My BIL is a commerical fishermen in LA and the price of crawfish has been pretty high this year.
We'll have to remember y'all like crawfish...we have talked about having crawfish boils before, but never know who we could ask to come. It is almost too late now to have one. Next year!
