DPP#19 the story of Jesus' birth
Hudson's class did the nativity story yesterday at their Christmas party. It was so sweet, just like when William did it in 1st grade. Hudson did a great job! I am going to miss our school SO very much.
DPP#18 party time
Halle supervised me packing for the next 10 days: Uncle Garrett's graduation and then a week vacation with all the cousins, aunts and uncles, and Mimi and Papa!

DPP#12 - one month old!
I sure do wish I could pause time occasionally. It's ridiculous how fast time flies when you have a newborn. I can't believe Halle Kate is already 1 month old. Thankfully, she is growing slower than her brothers did at this age, so I'm getting to enjoy the "tiny phase" just a bit longer. But not long enough, if you ask me!
Halle is as sweet as she looks. She becoming more and more alert and interactive. I'm finally putting her down long enough for her to enjoy tummy time, and she even rolled over (from tummy to back) the other night. She is sleeping about 7hrs at night, and eating every 3 hrs during the day.
William, Hudson, and Crew are loving having a baby sister around. And I think it's finally sinking in that we have another girl around the house!

DPP#11 - playing outside
Today after school the boys went straight outside. It's near 70 today, so it was perfect weather for playing in the backyard. Halle and I joined in the fun!
DPP#10 - food
I'm a food lover. I was ecstatic to find out that one of my favorite restaurants (well, I've only ever had 1 dish there, and it's one of the best ever!) opened up near the airport. We used to frequent there when my parents lived in The Woodlands, and every now and again we will go there when in Houston to see my sister and cousins. But now it's in the DFW area!
This is my favorite dish: Chipotle Pepper Pasta

DPP#9 - TummyTime
I'm embarrassed to say that this is Halle's first experience with tummy time. She's actually doing much better than her brothers did...
DPP#8 - Halle's baptism
Since we are moving in 3 weeks, we had Halle baptized a little earlier than we normally would have. But it was such a special time, and we are so glad that Pastor Kyle could baptize her before we leave.
DPP#6 - Christmas Program
It's not a great pic, as we were in the back of the room...but William is the top row, 4th from the left for his school Christmas Program. They did such a good job singing Christmas songs, giving info about Christmas traditions around the world, and of course, reciting Luke 2 from memory.

December Photo Project, Days 1-3
I am going to attempt to dust off the blog and play "catch-up"…but first, I am going to jump ahead and participate in the DPP, which I've done the last few years. I always have fun going back to look at our month of December in daily photos, so I hate to miss it this year.
Things have been crazy around here, but only the good (mostly) kind of crazy. We have a new little person around, Halle Kate, and we are all totally in love with her (more on that in another blogpost…with details and pics).
But to start off, Day 1 (Halle pooped while Hudson was holding her):
Day 2 (Crew taking a little rest while I feed Halle):
Day 3 (3 weeks old today!!):

First Day of School
The kids were ready for school to start this year! How is it possible that they're in 1st and 3rd grade already!??
Museum time
On a hot hot day this summer we decided to spend it at the new Perot Museum in Dallas. We'd heard great things about it, so we figured we better try it out before we move. The boys loved it!
cool dino hat for Crew:
William and Hudson were very excited to see how Oil is drilled and pumped, since they've seen it live and in action with my dad:
Downtown Dallas:
3D movie on Pandas:
The museum has a really cool stream outside the museum that the kids can play in, which my boys had a blast in:
Grandma's 90th
Due to the impending birth of our 4th child, I guess I need to update and dust off the ole blog!!
In July we celebrated my grandma's 90th birthday. What a fun celebration it was! Every single one of her living grandchildren made it to the party, and all but 1 of her great grandchildren.
What's more appropriate for the fisher-woman in the family than a fish themed birthday??
These cousins love each other so much!
This is our family…no use even bothering trying to have nice smiles. These boys love their Great Grandma so so much…especially because she moved into a nursing home just .5 mile from the house.
My Grandma with all of her living children and step-children. There is 1 deceased step-child and 2 deceased birth children. 11 in total!
The grandchildren:
the great-grandchildren (minus 1)
It was a wonderful day of celebrating our sweet grandma, whom we all love so very much!
