Quasi-Camping

We spent the holiday weekend up at my parent's house in OK with some friends. I call it quasi-camping because the daddies and most of the kids camped out while the mommies (most of the time) slept in the comfort of air conditioning and cozy beds inside the house! I mean, someone had to be on their a-game the next day, right??? It was a GREAT weekend...nice weather, great company, relaxing visits, crazy kids, etc

I'll let the pictures do the talking...

We started off by heading to Kiddie Park on Friday night:

Saturday the guys played some Ultimate Frisbee:
a tractor ride around the property:
I guess maybe we look a little alike???
and of course, more Kiddie Park:

Sunday morning we headed to Woolaroc (home of Frank Philips). These are the kids in our car, and they were particularly excited because once inside the property, we let the roam around the car:
and sticking their heads out the windows:

the ladies of the group (minus my mom, who was MIA at this point):
Hudson and Aaron were inseparable (and Hudson would have it no other way)!
the highlight for the kids was the Buffalo trash can (it sucks up the trash and talks to you):
 all 10 crazy kids:
the guys (and my mom) played golf all afternoon, so us ladies "manned" the kids. They're making cherry pies in the playhouse:
 William and Emily playing "beach":
William and Sherrie
Don't let this picture alarm you, I'm pretty sure he was doing this on purpose:
even the adults had fun on the horse swing:
 Gracie and Cindy:
 Aren't we beautiful?
She's gonna kill me for this...

On Monday we had a fairly relaxing morning with playing, packing, and of course, riding the tractor. Hudson would not be a happy camper if he went a whole weekend without a tractor ride with Papa (this is actually his 3rd ride of the weekend...but first pic):
 all the kids:
 nice smile, William:
Hudson LOVES giving his baby brother kisses:

It was a FANTASTIC weekend, and my kids, of course, are already talking about when we'll go back next. If only it was closer than 5 hours...

Half Way!

Most of you probably already know this, but we are expecting baby #3!! We found out a little over a week ago that we will be welcoming ANOTHER boy to the fam.... not really what we were "hoping" for, but I have no doubt that he will be a little treasure.

Due Date: October 11, 2011

First and Last

For comparison sake, here are pics from the first day of school and the last:

If you look at the door behind them, you can see that it looks like they've each grown about 1.5 inches each this school year. (*sniff sniff* my babies are growing up!)

Pre-K graduation and end of school

Thursday was the boys' last day of school, and pre-k graduation for William! It's crazy to think that he'll be in Kindergarten next year...

They both had a great year, and we LOVED their teachers.

Singing for the end of the year program. I didn't get a lot of great pics because William was in the 2nd row, so he was frequently blocked...

Preschool

Hudson's class doesn't have a "program" per-se, but they did have observation day today at music and spanish class. It was a.d.o.r.a.b.l.e.

Here is some video footage of music class:

And here's a sample of Spanish class:

Fun with ONE

I have never had a whole lot of concentrated time with just Hudson, so that is the one nice thing about William jet-setting across the Atlantic. Dave was in Montreal when William left on Thursday, and the rest of the day and all day Friday Hudson kept saying "just mommy and Hudson. just us." Once Dave got back, he changed it to "just mommy and daddy and Hudson. just us." He thoroughly enjoying getting all this 2-on-1 attention!

On Saturday, we took Hudson to the new Legoland Discovery Center near here. It was a blast!!

building a race car:
 racing it:
this was a fun ride. You peddle really fast and it makes the car go up really high. Hudson was too short to reach the pedals, so I had to really pedal to get us up there!
 Hudson LOVED it!
this was actually the "baby" area with Duplos, but he loved it anyway:
They have a "miniland" which has all the major highlights of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex made out of legos. It was pretty awesome.

Rangers Stadium:
Hudson wanted me to take this for Papa:
 DFW airport: international terminal:
 Of course, Cowboys Stadium:
This was a shooting ride, and you have to use these laser guns to shoot the targets on the Lego bad guys:
the 4D movie, which was pretty fun (but lame story-line):
This is what he thought of the experience:

It was a fun fun day with our little guy! Who says William gets to have all the fun???

Goodbye!

This is a few days late, but William left for London, England last Thursday. My parents decided to take him to visit Keira, and how could we deny him/them??

at the airport

saying goodbye to my baby!

It was hard to say goodbye to him, but I knew he was going to be in good hands for the next 9 days. Plus, Hudson has been excited to have me (during the day) and daddy all to himself.
