Kindergarden Graduation

We're still trying to wrap our heads around the fact that William has "graduated" from Kindergarden. How has this happened??
His class did a fantastic program to celebrate the end of the year. They recited Bible verses, sang songs, showed off some of their work, and then had a little reception afterwards. It was so sweet.

It was so great for William this year because there was only 9 kids in the class. It takes William a bit of time to get used to big groups, so we really felt like he thrived this year. He met some really great kids! As a "send off" gift to his buddies, we made these:

Probably our favorite thing about his class this year was that he had 2 teachers! And with only 9 kids, they were able to give the kids so much individual attention. Ms Kristin, and Ms Gayla have been teaching this kindergarden class together for about 9 years, so they work well together, and it shows. The kids all loved them, and so did we!

We were all very sad to have the year end, but we're looking forward to see what first grade brings!

Next up: FIRST grade at Covenant Christian Academy!

GREAT Grandma

The day after we got back from Mexico my Grandma came over to spend the day. My dad had brought her back down to Texas with him so that she could spend Mother's Day here with all of us. My parents were heading down to College Station that day for Lauren's graduation, and they knew it would be way too long of a day her for in the car and at the graduation. We were happy to have her around...she loves the boys, and they're crazy about her too.
We played games, walked to the park, picnic lunch on the living room floor, read books, and made homemade pizza for dinner and watched Flipper. It was a fun day with my grandma, and the boys' great grandma!

Vacation 2012

We got back last night from a FABULOUS family vacation in Mexico. The weather was perfect. The kids were great (most of the time). The resort was fantastic. The beach was glorious.

We started off with a great flight. I was holding my breath, as I wasn't sure how Crew would do (or Hudson, for that matter. He hadn't flown since he was 18 months old). They were all great. Crew slept the whole flight, and William and Hudson watched Rio. We got to the resort just in time to check in, unload our bags, and head to dinner.

Our days all looked pretty much the same: breakfast, pool, beach, lunch, nap, pool, beach, dinner, pool, beach, evening entertainment, bed. The next day: repeat. It was exactly what we wanted!!!

You see that pink bathing suit flying through the air in the middle, on the left? Yes, that's me, jumping from a "pool cliff" with Hudson. I'm not a fan of heights. I wouldn't have done it if Hudson hadn't begged me. How could I let a 4 yr old be braver than me???
Hudson took the pic on the left, William the 2 on the right. Not too shabby for a 4 and 6 yr old, huh?

I absolutely LOVE these pics of my 3 little guys.

The boys were sad it was over, but we were all very happy to get home....and sleep in our own beds!

WHAT?! 7 months!?

7 months has gone by super quickly, but at the same time we can't imagine our lives without little Crew.

Today is an especially fun "birthday" for Crew because we are headed out the door for a Mexican vacation on the Mayan Riviera!

He's wanting to crawl, but I have been prohibiting it since I don't want a crawling baby on the beach!
He is laughing, talking, and dancing up a storm.
His eating is going much better, and I even think he might be interested in starting table food. "Puffs" are definitely his favorite part of mealtime.

Adios, amigos! See you in a week.

Food, Glorious Food

(If you're not humming the Oliver song right now, you should be!!)

Crew hasn't taken much to food since we started back a month ago. But, he's getting much better and is now enjoying squash, sweet potatoes, apples, broccoli, mango, pears, blueberries and puffs (the latter shown below). Like with the other 2 boys, I've been making his food, and I love it!

He was a little unsure of the blueberries at first, but he's a fan now. But his current favorite is mango. I swear he'd eat a truckload (I can't really blame him...it's my favorite fruit too!)
